Country-Specific
Integrations for use cases specific to outside the United States.
Switzerland
Epic organizations in Switzerland have been successful in using international standards-based integrations with most Swiss systems.
Swiss organizations can use Epic’s eMediplan APIs, via interface engine, to query for the data needed to integrate with HCI's eMediplan. Organizations can use HL7v2 interfaces and data warehouse extracts to integrate with the Federal Office of Public Health's COVID Certifications via interface engine to show that patients are unlikely to test positive for COVID-19. Epic also supports bidirectional exchange of Swiss-specific case information with registration and billing systems.
eMediplan APIs
These APIs enable queries into Epic for the full medication list for a patient and can generate a push notification when a user requests an eMediplan in Epic. An interface engine can use the notification to call into these APIs and standard FHIR APIs to gather the necessary information to request an eMediplan document from the HCI eMediplan system. This document can be filed into Epic with an Incoming Scanned Document Link interface or shared with other healthcare organizations. The document includes a QR code that healthcare providers can use to retrieve the patient's medications from eMediplan.
