The PAT_ENC_HSP_2 table is the subsequent table for the PAT_ENC_HSP table, which is the primary table for hospital encounter information. Each record in this table is based on a patient contact serial number.

The digits after the decimal distinguish different contacts on the same date and are unique for each contact on that date. For example, .00 is the first/only contact, .01 is the second contact, etc.
